In 2003, Mr. Ward earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida. After graduation, he worked with the Florida Division of Forestry as a State Lands Forester managing 70,000 acres of public land at Tate’s Hell State Forest, then as the Putnam County Forester. In mid-2005, Mr. Ward joined a private Florida-based environmental consulting firm as a Project Scientist/Forester. In 2006, he opened a branch office of that firm in Eastern North Carolina. In late 2009, Mr. Ward left the firm and formed Premier Forestry & Environmental Consulting, PLLC. In early 2011, he acquired Comprehensive Forestry Services, Inc., a well-established and highly respected forestry consulting firm, gaining 5 experienced employees, new services lines, and positioning the firm for continued growth.
Andrew Marks
Forestry Technician

In 2016, Mr. Marks earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation and Park Management from East Carolina University. Before joining Premier Forestry in August of 2021, Andrew worked with a local timber company as a timber procurement representative for 6 years, earning in-depth experience managing logging crews, cruising timber, and performing numerous forestry-related tasks.
Wesley Tucker
Forestry Technician/ Fabricator
In 2020, Mr. Tucker earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Management from North Carolina State University. He joined Premier Forestry in July of 2020 where he serves as a welder and fabricator as well as a general forestry technician. Mr. Tucker has over 12 years of welding and fabrication experience. He is experienced in TIG, MIG, and stick welding on all metal types, specializing in aluminum welding.
Willie ” Tony” Crabb
Heavy Equipment Operator/ Forestry Tech
From 2001 through 2009, Mr. Crabb proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, fulfilling his service obligation with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He joined Premier Forestry in September of 2020. In 2019, he earned an Associate of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Lenoir Community college. Mr. Crabb is an experienced heavy equipment mechanic and is quickly learning other forestry-related tasks.
Scott Adams
Equipment Operator
Mr. Adams specializes in heavy equipment operation in reforestation, early- and mid-rotation activities. Mr. Adams has of over 25 years of experience operating a bulldozer in forestry applications.
Brenda Garvey
Bookkeeper
Mrs. Garvey retired from the City of New Bern, NC after serving in several capacities with various departments. After serving as a bookkeeper for M&W Signs in Pollocksville, NC, she joined Premier Forestry in January of 2018.
